The Role
Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing finances of the company. The responsibilities of an Accounting Supervisor include maintenance of accurate records of expenditure and profits, ensuring compliance with accounting and legal requirements, and preparing budgets and recommendations on financial policies. The Supervisor is expected to be knowledgeable of accounting competencies and administration skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for supervising the daily activities of the accounting operations & ensuring that all deadlines, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Evaluate & improve department controls, systems & procedures that increase accuracy & efficiency.
- Monitor accounting staff performance and ensure that KPIs are met.
- Compile and review financial information and statement.
- Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Monitor tax returns and ensuring that company taxes are paid, and reports are filed in a timely manner.
- Monitor BIR-related clearances as needed.
- Handle tax audits.
Qualifications
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or Management Accounting course
- Preferably with work experience as Supervisor.
- Proficient in MS word and Excel.
- Knowledgeable in computerized accounting system
- Must be knowledgeable in tax computation and filing
- Knowledgeable in SEC and PEZA regulations and process.
