The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Cloud Computing Solutions Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions to meet our clients’ business needs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and a track record of delivering scalable and reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and technical needs, and recommend appropriate cloud computing solutions to meet their goals
- Design and architect cloud infrastructure solutions using leading cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Develop and implement cloud migration strategies, including assessing existing on-premises systems, planning migration paths, and executing migration projects
- Configure and deploy cloud services such as virtual machines, containers, server less computing, databases, storage, networking, and security components
- Optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency, leveraging best practices and automation tools
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the health and availability of cloud-based applications and services
- Collaborate with DevOps and software development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and ensure consistency across environments
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, including troubleshooting complex issues, resolving performance bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations
- Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices, and evaluate new tools and services to improve our cloud offerings
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and team members, to provide status updates, gather requirements, and address technical concerns
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect) is a plus
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions using AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar cloud platforms
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS)
- Experience with cloud migration strategies and tools, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecting
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture
- Knowledge of networking principles, security best practices, and compliance standards in cloud environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and propose innovative solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
